Considering the impact on child/ren is an important part of separating which relies upon an amicable approach, where possible, to try to achieve an outcome both parties are happy with and which best supports the child/ren. We appreciate that matters can be acrimonious and we are here to support you in every way possible.

Parental Responsibility:

Child Arrangements:

When considering child arrangements, the court’s paramount consideration is that of the welfare of a child.

In order to determine what is in the best interest of a child the court will consider the welfare checklist which includes the wishes and feelings (where appropriate) of a child, the child/ren’s needs, the likely effect of any change in circumstances etc.
